The Wedding

Me and Shannon looking fabulous!

Aren't these centerpieces awesome! I am in love with this iron flower holder thingy! I am so glad I got to have one! Thanks a million Peek!!!

Me, Shannon, and Ashley enjoying the reception.

The new hubby and wife.

Needless to say I had a much needed night of fun this past weekend. Saturday October 25, 2008 I went to John and Picabo Reeser's wedding. It was absolutely beautiful! It was outdoors at Prospect Mountain in Cullman, AL on Saturday afternoon. The weather cooperated and I just wish I had had my babies there to capture their smiles in that gorgeous setting.

Darby's New Obssession

Darby got a NEW Thomas t-shirt thanks to Dr. Khoury and his wife! She would wear it everyday if I let her. The afternoon that I gave her the shirt she wore it all night, slept in it, then didn't want to take it off the next morning. I had to assure her that I would only "give Thomas a bath" then give the shirt back to her. She's obssessed with THOMAS!!!!!

Austin's Birthday Party

Darby had a blast this past Saturday at Austin's birthday party at Oak Mtn State Park. It was such a perfect day that afternoon. We got to pet the animals, had fun in the barn, and rode the hay ride. Darby loved petting the animals so much that I couldn't get her to even eat any cake! The animals would walk right up to you. We all had a great time and I can't wait to go back some day.

I found this website and love it! I just love this creation of mine to celebrate Bodie's birth.

ROLL TIDE BABY!!!!! I am loving the football season as most Alabama fans are I suspect. So to celebrate this weekend's game I am posting this picture I captured of Darby is her Alabama dress. I am such a bad mother because I haven't been able to get a picture of Bodie in his gameday onesie because he spits up on it as soon as I get the camera out or we leave the house. I am working on it though.

Happy Birthday Cousin Austin!!

Yummmy! Looks like Austin had Thomas colored icing!
Darby and her BIG bite of "birthday cake!"

Here's the cake, note the finger marks where the kids went to town on it!!!! They're only kids once, they had a blast!

We all had a blast celebrating Austin's 3rd Birthday. As you can tell, the Thomas the Train cake was a hit! Darby kept asking for "Percy's chocolate." Austin and Darby were scraping the icing off the cake before dinner ever got started. It took a lot of convincing to get them to eat their spaghetti first, but it did work. I can't believe it's been 3 years since Austin was born (and it's also been EXACTLY 3 years since Matt and I found out we were pregnant with Darby!). My how time flies when you are having fun. Darby and Austin are only 9 months apart, but act like they are identical twins.

Elmo Makes Music

Just a little travel back in time to tell you about mine and Darby's girls night out. We went to see "Elmo Makes Music" at the BJCC. It was her first concert and she loved it. We had great seats that were only 4 rows from the stage. The show was an hour and a half and she sat through the entire show! Her favorite characters were of course Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Telly. We had a blast and left the boys at home!!

My little man is smiling :). The time goes by twice as fast with each child you have. Bodie is smiling, cooing, and even rolled over for the first time today!!! When I went in Bodie's room this morning to get him up he had rolled over all by himself. I can't believe it. He is only 2 months old. He's growing up and isn't going to be my little newborn much longer.

Darby is dancing

I can't believe that my little girl is old enough to take dance! She turned 2 years old this summer so Matt and I decided to sign her up for dance class. I am so surprised that she actually does love it. She goes to class all by herself like a big girl, carries her dance bag backpack, and doesn't even cry because she has to go in class without mommy. When did she get so grown up all of the sudden? Every week she asks "when I go to dance?" She loves wearing her tap shoes, probably because they make noise. The best thing about dance is she'll let me put a pink bow in her hair! My little tomboy actually has found something girly that she likes to do. She is having a blast and meeting new friends and I am so proud of her.

Ok, so I am new at this "blogging," but decided to create one to keep you in touch and up to date on what's happening in our lives. Matt and I have been married for 4 years and just recently celebrated our anniversary on August 14th. It's been fun and full of many great things. We have a cute home, two beautiful children, and a dog that's still in the puppy stage after 5 years. Darby Matilyn is our first born who came into the world on July 7, 2006. She is now 2 years old and there's never a dull moment. You never know what's going to come out of her mouth, but most of the time she makes perfect sense which is the scariest part. Bodie Franklin is our newest addition to the family who was born on August 1, 2008. He is now 2 months old and smiling. One boy, one girl, it doesn't get much better! Tobe is our Jack Russell who is full of energy and is feeling a little neglected since we've added another baby to his world. We still think he's precious. Matt works for the railroad as a conductor and I am a pediatric RN at Children's hospital in the Orthopaedic clinic. We cherish all the family time we can get, which doesn't seem like enough. I will try to post some family pictures soon for everyone to enjoy!
