Baby Food and New PJ's for Darb's

Darby scored a new pair of PJ's on our latest trip to Walmart. And, yes they are boy PJ's, but they're the Wonder Pets and it has a magic cape! What am I going to do with her, she's all boy and a complete mess!

Yeah! We finally gave the man some food (if that's what you want to call that stuff). He loves bananas and applesauce, and he really loves to blow it out all in your face. How can you get mad at that face?

I think he's loving it!

we are sick of being SICK!!!

These pictures of Bodie's rash look so bad, but these are actually when he started looking a lot better.

So, I am beginning to think that my pediatrician's office has seen me in there so much in the past 3-4 weeks that they would probably all comment on my new hair cut. (lol...that's too many visit for a family to make) First, Darby was so sick with a stomach virus that she was dehydrated enough that she wasn't going to the bathroom so I took her in. Got some Zofran and she perked up in a couple days. (Darby perked up after giving the virus to me and Matt.) The next week I already had Bodie's well visit scheduled, so we went in for that. Everything was great, it was a nice WELL visit. The next week (last Friday the 13th) I had to then take Bodie in because he looked like a swollen tomato head! We I woke him up from his crib that morning his entire face and neck were red, swollen, bumpy, not a white spot on his head. I do have some pic's that I will post when I get a chance to upload them. Never fails, the sickness is not over yet. Darby woke up yesterday with a fever of 103.5, yes her finger tips felt like an eye on the stove they were so hot. Finally her fever broke in the middle of the night last night, but, but she then started throwing up :(. What in the world has happened to my family! We are never sick. I've been through so much Lysol and Clorox wipes that I should have bought stock in them!!!

My sweet babies!

I snapped a couple shots of Darby dressed up, too! Love this little dress I got at Target.

The Bod man is his big boy outfit that I dressed him up in to take him to the doctor last week. Isn't it cute! Who knew if would be just as fun to pimp up a little boy as to dress a little girl.

"Scrapping"

So I have been tagged by my dear friend Jennifer! We work together and I am so glad to work with my friend!!! The rules of "scrapping" are to first list 10 HONEST things about yourself, then second pass it own to 7 other bloggers who embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.

Here goes:

10. I am VERY VERY VERY OCD. I like all colors to be in rainbow order. All my baby bottles must match exactly, and you had better not loose the top that covers the nipple, or inside I will be flaming. Everything has a place, so put it there. If you are done using something, then by God put it up.... you get the point. I am this way at work, too. If you touch something on my desk, I will know. So don't touch it without asking!!

9. I have terrible "mother's guilt." I can't hardly do anything for myself without feeling guilty. I go everywhere with my kids b/c they're my kids and I didn't have them for others to raise them. I always rush home to pick them up because as soon as I clock out I feel that they know it and are waiting on me. Here lately Matt and I have had a couple of nights to do stuff together without them and yes it is a nice break (even though it's hard to do.)

8. I hide my true feelings and hardships behind jokes and laughter. I am very good at hiding things that bother me in life. So probably the more that I am joking around the more things are bothering me inside.

7. I am a severe people watcher! I promise I don't mean to stare, I am probably just admiring your outfit, shoes, purse, make up, hair, jewelry, or whatever else that might catch my eye.

6. If I had a million bucks I would share it with everyone. I know money doesn't buy happiness, but I love to give gifts more than to receive. To see others happy is truly rewarding.

5. I love, love, love my family. They do so much for me in life. Keep my children for free, help when I, Matt, or they are sick. Help me get them to and fro during the week. My mom and dad take care of me like I still live at home.

4. I am having a hard time knowing that I probably won't have any more children. Two is a blessing that I am very grateful for, but they are so fun and adorable I would love more if my circumstances were different.

3. I love planning parties. Would throw one for every occassion if I had the dollars! Love going all out for everything. Go BIG or go home, right! I have this little part of me that would love to have my own business, a bakery, or a florist. I dream of looking out the window, listening to music, and enjoying the day while at work.

2. I am a Type 1 insulin dependent diabetic and hate it. Not because I won't to eat everything in site, but because it's a full time job that you never get a day off from. Secretly inside the movie Steel Magnolias terrifies because I want to live to see my kids grow up. It's difficult to manage it 24/7 without being burned out.

1. I am blessed to have met the man of my dreams. I am so glad that Matt came into my life, he's wonderful to me, is great with our babies, and I know he loves me very much and would do anything for me, Darby and Bodie. He's the most awesome daddy. I wish he was home more often, but we know it's just how it's got to be right now.

Well, that's enough about me, now I have to pick 7 people...hmmm, Jennifer you've picked all my people pretty much.

Bree Reid
Jill Smith
Megan Boshell
Gretchen Hinkle
Stacy and John Morris
Mandy Davis (if you haven't already done it for Jennifer)
Brent Watson (Kelly make your husband do it so I'll have a 7th person!)

Enjoy!

Bodie is 6 months old!

Our little Bodie is growing up too fast. He was 6 months old on February 1st. I felt terrible because I was so sick with a stomach virus that I didn't even get to see him that day (I never saw anything but the bathroom.) He's so much fun. He laughs so much he cracks his self up. He's rolling over. He wants to crawl so bad he can't stand it. He can finally hang out in the jumper, which as you'll see he will jump himself to sleep. Check out the drool on the jumper in the last picture. Darby is in love with her little brother, it's precious, sometimes she's tries to be his second mother. At his check up Bodie weighed in at 19 lbs 7 oz and was 26 1/4 inches long. He's 80% for weight and 60% for height (we've got to change that b/c his sister is the exact opposite and I am afraid she'll be taller than her brother!) It's time to start baby food and all the fun stuff. I am just not ready to. I want him to stay my little man since he's that last!

Getting back up to date!

Well a lot has happened since my last blog entry. It's been really busy around our house, not to mention everyone but Bodie has had the dreadful stomach virus that's going around. Here's a little update into the Reid world.

So, Darby has an artistic side to her. I guess she gets it from me! (haha) What do you do when you find this kind of artwork in your child's room. You want to die! I wanted to scream my head off. She had colored all over her walls, her headboard, her toy chest and even the carpet. The NEW CARPET!!!!!! I almost beat her within an inch of her life, but I just couldn't because she was so proud. She came running in the living room and said, "I colored Mom, I colored Daddy. It's pretty. It's pretty." We got a free Claude Monet, Vincent Van Gogh...whoever you like...you can get one, too. She's for hire so let me know if you need some original artwork in your own home!

Darby discovered the art of make-up or "my face" as she calls it.
I absolutely wanted to die a couple of weeks ago when I found her painted up like Tammy Faye Baker in her room. Not to mention all the war paint she had managed to get on her face, the rest of it was all in her carpet...THE NEW CARPET!!!!! This also happened 2 days after she had constructed her version of a Claude Monet or Vincent Van Gogh!

Our 1st Circus Adventure

Went got FREE tickets to the circus!!! Yippy! We had a blast last Friday night, it was full of "Zing, Zang, Zoom!" Darby took her first ride on a school bus and loved it. We also got a free dinner for Magic Moments put on by Children's Hospital, after the dinner that's when we rode the school bus to the circus!
