Congratulations Kimberly!!! UAB May 9, 2009 Graduation

My little sister graduated from UAB last Saturday and I am so proud of her. She received her Bachelor's in Health Sciences. She did her internship with AOC (Alabama Organ Center) getting to go on organ harvests and retrievals during her last semester. She's hoping that they might give her a full time position. Needless to say, we are all so very proud of her and everything she's accomplished. GO BLAZERS!!!! Hope you have a blast in the Dominican!

Playing outside

Uh Oh, where's the bodies?

Just some pictures of everyone having a good time outside one afternoon last week. Austin and Darby were being traced with sidewalk chalk. Bodie chillin' in the wagon trying to drink Aunt B's koolaid, and Tripp teetering around walking like his was tipsy! He's so cute trying to walk.

He's finally sitting up!

"What's that you said?"

Bodie trying to get somewhere. He's almost got it down!
The cutest butt ever.

Bodie is now 9 months old and decided he'd go ahead and start sitting up, no rush or anything. He made a complete fool out of me and Matt at his check up. We had checked almost everything as a no for meeting his milestones, so I said "should I be worried yet? I'm not really worried b/c to me he just doesn't seem to be interested yet." Come on, the boy would fall over sideways and laugh the entire way down while we just wonder why he won't sit up and play. A complete mess!!!!! At his 9 month check up he weighed 22# and 3oz, 28 1/2 inches long, with a big head that was in the 90% for his age. His Grammy has nicknamed him "The Rock" and it fits him. "Good bye baby tub, I'm a BIG boy now!!!"

Darby's BIG girl bed!

Recently Darby got her first BIG girl bed!!!! She loved it and was so excited to have a cute Paris themed comforter (thanks to my friend Megan Bo!) with "towers" and "modacycles" on it. The bed is an antique wrought iron bed that I found in the Trussville Antique Mall for $50.00. I painted it pink, for now, to match her new bedding. She is loving having her own "big bed like mommy's."

Edited pic's

I have been playing with an online photo editing website that I really like. I actually introduced my friend Mandy to it, but she has reintroduced myself back to it. It has so many capabilities and is a lot of fun to work with. Here are some of my works! By the way I need to catch everyone up to date, so much has happened lately. Easter, Bodie turned 9 months, Bodie is now sitting on his own (finally!!!), etc... You know how it is with kids, who has time for anything!

Day at the ZOO!

Today after Bodie's check up we decided to make a day of it and go to the zoo. It was the first day that Matt and I were both off together and had both kids dressed cute and were out on the town during the day. We had a BLAST!!! It was beautiful weather, we packed a lunch, and enjoyed some much needed quality family time. I almost forgot, it was Bodie's 1st trip to the zoo. Unplanned we realized that Darby, too, was about 9 months old on her first trip to the Zoo. I got some really great pic's but had to narrow it down!

My two precious bundles of joy.

Daddy and Darby on the train.
Me and my sweetest boy, the other man of my dreams.
Bo Bo in his "Bob the Builder" hat with big sister.
Which way do I go?
Darby in the mine, or being "Bob the Builder" as she says.
I loved the color of these flamingos. Don't you think they'd have a "crick" in their neck?
Me and Darby at the mine in the kangaroo exhibit.
Bodie and his baby blues!
This is the peacock that was running loose at the Zoo.

Update on dance pictures!

Despite a crazy day last month trying to have Darby's first dance pictures made in her recital outfits, we did get some cute pic's. Some are funny and just really show her true personality, but we did get 3 really good ones for the recital. I just can't wait to see her on the stage dancing! We had parent watch night this Thursday, so as soon as I load those pic's I will post them, too!
