Happy Thanksgiving

We spent the Thanksgiving holiday in Kentucky with Matt's family this year. Here are some pictures that I captured while there. I took a ton just playing with my camera settings to learn how to take really good shots! I am still working on those skills.
There was even a wishbone to break! Way to go Darby!
My boys!
My nephew Tripp...he's such a happy boy!
These remind me of a kids clothing ad.

I love this picture of Darby.
My photo collage of the kids.

I've been tagged!!

Well, I guess this is a little game that is going around, and I think it's a great one! You are suppose to pick the 4th picture from the 4th album saved on your computer. So, here is mine. It was about 4 years ago at the races in Talladega. It's just a picture I snapped of the racecars passing by our seats in the stands. Long before we had kids, Matt and I would make the most of a Talladega weekend!!!! I remember many nights of fun at the track...wait maybe I don't really REMEMBER that much, but it was fun!!!! Go #8!!!!!!

So now it's my turn to tag 4 people... Bree Reid, Gretchen Hinkle, Mandy Davis, and Jennifer Cotton! Have fun, and I can't wait to see all the pictures!

Bree are you drunk dialing for pizza, ..."um, yes we need 6 large pizzas, can we get them for $5 a piece...do you have any specials....no we only need 3?" Poor delivery guy, he didn't think it was so funny!!!
My sister, Kimberly & her friend Sarah, who had NO idea what type of Birthday Party she was coming to! She was only an innocent bystander who got sucked into the chaos!!!! But, hey you loved it girl, don't lie!!!!

The End! These are Matt's dad's glasses and this is where they ended up after the party!
Ok, so here are the pictures that everyone has been waiting on.

From Matt's Surprise 30th Birthday Party that I threw him at our house last Saturday (Nov. 15, 2008).

We had an ABSOLUTE BLAST! Everyone there did, as far as I know, even my prego friend Brit! The pictures are what results in a much needed night without any kids, lots of beverages, and a party are all combined! I am just thankful that I pulled this off. It took lots of planning and preparation, thanks to everyone for your help! Sorry, I lied to you so many times Matt, but I had something up my sleeve!!!!!

Happy 30th Birthday Matt!

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to Matt(daddy)!
Happy birthday to you!!!!

Today is Matt's 30th birthday! Wow, I can't believe how fast we are getting old! We didn't get to see him this morning because I had to be at work before he had ever gotten off, but we did leave him a surprise on the kitchen table. Me, Darby, and Bodie got him a new Alabama shirt to wear and an Alabama cup like he has been wanting. He was surprised and called to thank us when he got home and found it. I love to SURPRISE people when they least expect it, it's so much fun!!!! We are having dinner at his mom's so I will post some pic's later! Happy Birthday Matt, I love you so much!

Our backyard in the fall

I just love the view from our porch in the fall, it reminds me of Gatliburg. The colors of the trees are beautiful. It used to be much more colorful before the man behind us starting clearing off a lot of the trees. We enjoy being on the deck and relaxing, taking in the scenery. Hope everyone is enjoying this time of the year, too!

We love baths!!!

We were having a good time Thursday night during bath time! Both my babies absolutely love this time of the evening. When our world feels like it's crashing down, I know that I can just stick them in the tub and the smiles come out!!!! Must be something about Johnson's & Johnson's baby wash and warm water that does the trick.

Halloween with The Reid's

My beautiful little pumpkins! :)
The "Great Pumpkin" left a little surprise for Darby and Bodie.
Happy Halloween love, the Reid's
Darby trick or treating as a cute little pumpkin.
Bodie on his 1st trick or treating outing!
Darby after she had finished accessorizing our pumpkin.

2008 was a great Halloween! It was Bodie's first Halloween and Darby's first time to Trick-or-Treat. We went to a couple houses in the neighborhood, she was hooked as soon as the first piece of candy fell into her bucket. We also enjoyed our annual family Halloween party which was our own version of trunk-or-treat b/c all the sudden we are experiencing high volumes of kids!!! I feel lazy this year b/c I usually go to all lengths to make the family a creative one of a kind costume, but this year I just had the 2 cutest pumpkins in the patch... they were adorable. Hope everyone enjoyed a safe Halloween.
