Darby's first day of Preschool K3

My sleepy head not quite ready to wake up and start getting ready for school. We are NOT morning people in our house!
Isnt' she cute in her outfit, backpack, and lunch box!
All ready to go to school!
Darby and her teacher.
Today was Darby's first day of Preschool! The day was AWESOME!!! I got to be off with her all day and Matt was home. She got up early, got dressed (she picked out her own outfit and it included a hairbow, girly outfit with cute sandals!), ate breakfast and off we were. SHe went in with NO tears and was smiling when I picked her up. She had 3 worksheets in her folder that were adorable with a certificate saying that she had a "Great first day!" I am so proud of her, but I am so sad that she is growing up so fast.

Weekly update

Let me first start by saying..."Thank goodness it's Friday!" It feels like it's been along week. I am looking forward to tomorrow's bowling tournament to raise money for Spina Bifida kids. We have 2 teams from our dept at the hospital, so it should be a lot of fun.

Update on Matt: he is doing some odds and end jobs which helps a little, he got a certified letter stating the he must return ALL of his RR gear by 6-10-09 and that "hopefully" work would pick up again in 4 months. To us 4 months is a really long time, and we hope that it's only 4 months. We'll just keep praying on this one.

Bodie: is into everything, EVERYTHING! He has waited almost 10 months to get up and get moving, but now he's doing it all at once. He's crawling like a marathon crawler! Sitting his self up like a pro. Now, he's pulling up. We found him in the bathroom floor pulling up on the side of the tub trying to watch Darby playing in the bath tub. I got a cute picture that I will post if I ever get a moment to sit at the computer that long. He can say "mama" and "dada."

Darby: is a mess! She is talking like a grown up and comprehending things that I never imagined she could. She has definitely gained a vivid imagination. She now plays with her trains and makes them talk just as they do on Thomas the Train. It's so cute. The other night we caught her saying "stop shunting me Thomas you are supose to pull Annie and Clarabelle." Her thing to say right now is "bust my buffers" if something makes her mad.

When we are in the store shopping and I'm looking at something that she doesn't want to look at she'll tell me "puff along Mom, puff along."

I am working like a crazy woman everyday, wish I could go part time but it's not in our future right now. Decided to do something for myself so I bought some new make-up and cut my hair off shorter than it's ever been in my life, but I am LOVING it! Forgot I set up a Facebook account some many years ago, but was talked into updating it and making it active. Now of course I am addicted to another networking site!

More to come....have a great weekend.

He's finally sitting up!

"What's that you said?"

Bodie trying to get somewhere. He's almost got it down!
The cutest butt ever.

Bodie is now 9 months old and decided he'd go ahead and start sitting up, no rush or anything. He made a complete fool out of me and Matt at his check up. We had checked almost everything as a no for meeting his milestones, so I said "should I be worried yet? I'm not really worried b/c to me he just doesn't seem to be interested yet." Come on, the boy would fall over sideways and laugh the entire way down while we just wonder why he won't sit up and play. A complete mess!!!!! At his 9 month check up he weighed 22# and 3oz, 28 1/2 inches long, with a big head that was in the 90% for his age. His Grammy has nicknamed him "The Rock" and it fits him. "Good bye baby tub, I'm a BIG boy now!!!"

Darby's BIG girl bed!

Recently Darby got her first BIG girl bed!!!! She loved it and was so excited to have a cute Paris themed comforter (thanks to my friend Megan Bo!) with "towers" and "modacycles" on it. The bed is an antique wrought iron bed that I found in the Trussville Antique Mall for $50.00. I painted it pink, for now, to match her new bedding. She is loving having her own "big bed like mommy's."

Baby Food and New PJ's for Darb's

Darby scored a new pair of PJ's on our latest trip to Walmart. And, yes they are boy PJ's, but they're the Wonder Pets and it has a magic cape! What am I going to do with her, she's all boy and a complete mess!

Yeah! We finally gave the man some food (if that's what you want to call that stuff). He loves bananas and applesauce, and he really loves to blow it out all in your face. How can you get mad at that face?

I think he's loving it!

Bodie is 6 months old!

Our little Bodie is growing up too fast. He was 6 months old on February 1st. I felt terrible because I was so sick with a stomach virus that I didn't even get to see him that day (I never saw anything but the bathroom.) He's so much fun. He laughs so much he cracks his self up. He's rolling over. He wants to crawl so bad he can't stand it. He can finally hang out in the jumper, which as you'll see he will jump himself to sleep. Check out the drool on the jumper in the last picture. Darby is in love with her little brother, it's precious, sometimes she's tries to be his second mother. At his check up Bodie weighed in at 19 lbs 7 oz and was 26 1/4 inches long. He's 80% for weight and 60% for height (we've got to change that b/c his sister is the exact opposite and I am afraid she'll be taller than her brother!) It's time to start baby food and all the fun stuff. I am just not ready to. I want him to stay my little man since he's that last!

Potty Time!!!!

Yes! Yes! Yes! We have finally gotten it down! If you've ever been through potty training I know that you will understand my abundant amount of excitement on this subject. For the past 2 weeks we have really been trying hard to get Darby potty-trained, and I think we've done. She can go all day without an accident, can even take a nap in her big girl panties without an accident, and will do #1 AND #2 in the BIG POTTY!!!!!! #1 and #2! The only part that we have left to tackle is making through the night. We are now only wearing a "nite-nite diaper" as Darby calls. Twice this week she has awakened dry and went straight to sit on her little potty...maybe there's hope. Matt and I are so proud, but said to see how quickly she is growing up. She now tells us, "I can't wear that diaper, I don't wear diapers. Bodie need diapers." The funny side to this story is the "big girl panties" that she wears... THEY ARE BRIEFS! She will only wear Thomas the Train boy briefs, but hey, if it works I don't care what she wears! Kudos to Darby for using the big potty!!!! My baby is growing too, fast.

My little man is smiling :). The time goes by twice as fast with each child you have. Bodie is smiling, cooing, and even rolled over for the first time today!!! When I went in Bodie's room this morning to get him up he had rolled over all by himself. I can't believe it. He is only 2 months old. He's growing up and isn't going to be my little newborn much longer.
